Sponsor a Child
We often came across children who dropped out of school due to lack of school fees. Some situations forced children to stay home for half the school year until the money being owed was paid. Such children often performed poorly in school because they could not continually stay in school. Girls were mostly affected and had to get married early because no one could afford to educate them.
Our project enables children from remote areas or difficult family situations to attend boarding schools. There is safety in boarding schools, time spent daily to get to school is avoided and children are able to concentrate more in their school work by staying there.
In addition, the children are able to remain in a family setting, thus still benefiting from parental love and guidance. Their academic progress is remarkable compared to how it was when they were in a day school.
We encourage sponsors to sponsor a child individually and to stay in contact with the family, monitoring the progress of the child during the sponsorship period.
